About the Authors
Jim Haag has been the director of field exploitation at an independent exploration and producing company with assets in the Gulf of Mexico for the past four years. Prior to that, he was employed by Texaco Inc. for 27 years, working properties in the Gulf of Mexico and on the Gulf Coast, followed by 10 years as a consultant. Mr. Haag is a registered petroleum engineer in the states of Texas and Louisiana. He is a member of the Society of Petroleum Evaluation Engineers (SPEE) and has served on its board of directors. Gene Wiggins has more than 37 years’ experience in the upstream oil and gas business as a consultant and expert witness and in business development capacities with several companies. Mr. Wiggins is a registered petroleum engineer in the states of Texas and Louisiana and is a former national president of the Society of Petroleum Evaluation Engineers (SPEE).
